I'd've called it Tauroceratops. Because that head reminds me a lot of a Texas Longhorn.

my dear brother, Andrey Atuchin!

your robust ceratops are a beautiful imagination about these dinosaurs....3D position of a face with a robust thigh...thank you very much for share them with us....I prefer muddy ground of your pictures to dusty ground of Mohamad Haghani art....late cretaceous was humid!

However, I have an advise for you.....late cretaceous was a colorful world...colorful flowers and some insects related to flowers (ladybirds, moth, wasp), birds, dragonfly, snail, fruit tree exist in late cretaceous....volcano and dust air related to volcano smoke and flowers pollination exist....you can add such things to your pictures for making a better imagination about Tyrannosaurs and ceratops life.....

I hope my advise do not make you angry...it is just an friendly advice from a lonely biologist.....I always like your art very much!

Now all it needs are some quills on its lower back and tail~

Just because one ceratopsian was found with quills, doesn't mean they all had to have them...

Just because the original theories are there, doesn't mean that we should completely abide by them.

Just saw the skull of this critter in a lineup with its pals (Utah' and Kosmo') at SVP in Vegas- utterly bizarre. Must have been something in the water in Campanian Utah...

This is amazing! I was so busy admiring the detail on the ceratopsian I almost missed the tyrannosaur completely! That's not to say the background isn't worthy of mention as well. I love the atmosphere in this piece, you can almost feel the humidity.

Yes. But not so new. It was described in 2010 in dissertation. So it's still nomen nudum.

I love the scales drawn on the animal and was curious to know, did you paint the scales in grayscale first and colorize them then paint over the top afterward or did you just pick colour as you go and add shading on them (like a multiply layer or something)? Because the detail on it looks truly amazing.

:iconolorotitan:

I painted the scales in grayscale first on the head and detailed after. The the rest of the body I painted first. Then I detailed it using the color scheme as a base without multiple layers. The main technique is like acrilic or gouache with minimum of digital effects.
